Sara Zivkovic is a thirteen-year old girl who was born blind. At the age of one she had an eye surgery in a hospital in Detroit which enabled her to make out the light from the darkness. Thanks to stem cells stored at the birth of Sarah's younger brother, Michael, has created conditions for the new operation and improvement of Sarah's treatment .
Head of Human Resources of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Major General Slađan Djordjevic presented today collected money to Lieutenant Colonel Nebojsa Ivanovic, Branko's father, and to Ljubica Udovičić, Sara’s grandmother.
In an interview with General Djordjevic, Lieutenant Colonel Ivanovic and Ljubica Udovičić expressed their gratitude to all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, especially the Military Medical Academy where Branko Ivanovic was treated and to the SAF which has launched an initiative to help Sara Zivkovic.
