Success of the Members of Serbian Armed Forces at the Trail Race “Kopaonik 2017”

Lieutenant Nevena Jovanović from the“Cobras” and private Đuro Borbelј from the 1st Army Brigade are the winners in 15km race at the International Trail Race that were held yesterday on the Kopaonik.
Lieutenant Nevena Jovanović from the Special Purpose Military Police Battalion “Cobras” and private Đuro Borbelј from the 1st Army Brigade are the overall winners in male and female competition in 15km race at the International Trail Race with two distance races of 7 and 15 kilometres that were held yesterday on the Kopaonik Mountain.
The members of Serbian Armed Forces achieved notable results at the competition that involved the participation of more than 500 competitors. Captain Siniša Savić from the Special Brigade had very successful performance and he won the second place in his age category and he was ranked sixth in the overall competition.
The significance of the achieved results is supported by the fact that private Đuro Borbelј finished the race more than two minutes before the second placed Darko Živanović, the best Serbian marathon runner and the participant in the Olympic games in London. Major Milovan Milić from the Special Brigade won the vice-champion title in the seven kilometre race in the overall competition.
The achieved results are a great incentive for the competitors of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces before their appearance in the International 7th CISM Challenge Cup in Skyrunning, which is going to take place on Kopaonik on 5th August 2017 where they will be faced with tough competition from the Armed Forces of Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia and Romania.
