Day of IT Service and Command Information Systems and IT Support Centre Marked

The Day of the IT Service and the Day of the Command Information Systems and IT Support Centre were marked today in the Telecommunications and Information Technology Directorate (J-6) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.
On this occasion, the most prominent individuals were presented with awards and stimulus measures were announced, in recognition of the results achieved in strengthening the functioning of telecommunications and information service in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The Day of the IT Service and the Day of the Command Information Systems and IT Support Centre are marked in memory of February 21, 1963, when the 6th Department of the Yugoslav People’s Army General Staff was established, and created as a result of the general need to improve the administrative service.
The ceremony was held in compliance with all prescribed measures for the containment and prevention of the spread of the infectious disease Covid-19.
