Gun salute on the occasion of Victory Day

On the occasion of 9th May – Victory Day over Fascism, members of the Guard executed a gun salute from the Sava Terrace at Kalemegdan by firing ten volleys from six artillery weapons.
The salute was preceded by the raising of the state flag, and after that, the Order of the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, was read, according to which members of the Guards Battalion fired a gun salute.
The Commander of the Guard of the Serbian Armed Forces, Major General Milomir Todorović, assessed the execution of the gun salute as very good and personally greeted all members of the Guards Battalion.
Victory Day is marked in commemoration of 9th May, 1945 and the victory over fascism in the Second World War.
