Wednesday, 7.8.2024 | International Co-operation
Today, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has spoken with KFOR Commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş in Belgrade.
This is a regular high-level meeting which included a discussion on the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR on the joint task of creating a safe and secure environment in the Province.
There was also a conversation about the activities undertaken by the Serbian Armed Forces and international forces in the Province in order to monitor the situation on the ground, prevent the emergence of crises and provide an efficient response in case the security is threatened.
Bearing in mind that the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija is unstable and sensitive, the interlocutors have agreed that it is necessary to continue the good cooperation that has been maintained so far and direct communication at all levels.
General Mojsilović has pointed out that, in accordance with the Military-Technical Agreement, the Serbian Armed Forces see KFOR as the only legitimate security actor in the Province, which, as such, is obliged to act professionally and impartially and protect Serbian population and our heritage in Kosovo and Metohija.
