SAF Members Presented With Awards

There has been a ceremony today in the Guard’s Club, Belgrade, during which awards of Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić have been presented on the occasion of the Serbian Statehood Day and Serbian Armed Forces Day.
Awards have been handed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, as an envoy of the President of the Republic, in the presence of Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović.
Gold and silver meritorious service medals have been received by 196 MOD and SAF members, while the Candlemas Medal of 3rd Degree was received by the Military Printing House, PR Department.
While congratulating the recipients of the medals, Minister Vučević has pointed out that he is deeply honored to welcome them all on the occasion of the most important military holiday - Serbian Armed Forces Day, which has symbolized historically a permanent source and inspiration both to our people and our military.
— On this day, I present these recognitions within the competence of President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander Aleksandar Vučić to MOD and SAF members on the occasion of the celebration of two important dates - Serbian Statehood Day and Serbian Armed Forces Day. Serbia celebrates, remembers and respects both First and Second Serbian Uprisings. These holidays lie at our very foundations and are our ‘life's teacher’. From their morals we could clearly see what today's world, modern Serbia, originated from, and to what we need to adhere and what we need to follow in order to protect it and defend it – stressed Minister Vučević.
Minister of Defence congratulated also the families of the awarded MOD and SAF members.
— I congratulate you and your families who should take pride in the fact that they have you as the best examples of honor, honesty, patriotism and commitment to our only state, our fatherland, our Serbia. Long Live the Serbian Armed Forces, Long Live our Fatherland Serbia! – stated Minister Vučević concluding his address.
Today’s ceremony, held at the Guard’s Club in Topčider, has been attended by collegiums of the Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff, respectively.
