Filled with pride and respect we remember today the bravery of the rebels, wisdom and courage of Prince Miloš the Great and his warlords. That is where we find inspiration in face of all future challenges. Today we celebrate the Serbian Armed Forces upon whose power and strength lies the strength of Serbia, peace and stability of the Balkans and safe future of our Serbian nation. The stronger our armed forces are, the more certain we as nation and state are that a chance for better future, stronger economy and peaceful environment for all our children is in front of us.
The Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces observe the Serbian Armed Forces Day - 23rd April, in memory of the Second Serbian Uprising raised on that date, on Palm Sunday, in Takovo in 1815.
