Completed Deployment of the River Flotilla on Lido

Members of pontoon units from the River Flotilla disassembled the pontoon bridge that connected the Zemun Quay with the Great War Island on the Danube River today.
During the summer season, the pontooners of the River Flotilla took care of the safety and security of the bridge, its maintenance and cleaning, in order to provide citizens with unimpeded access to the Zemun beach Lido.
The pontoon bridge, 354 meters long and with a total carrying capacity of 20 tons, composed of 38 pontoon elements, was set up on June 29, and today's disassembly and transportation to its original location marked the end of this year's summer season at this popular Danube beach.
