Soldiers of the Latest Class Took the Oath

Soldiers on voluntary military service of the “June 2024” intake have taken the oath today during a ceremony held on that occasion at the “Field Marshal Živojin Mišić” Barracks in Valjevo.
Pronouncing the text of the oath in front of the flag of the Republic of Serbia, they pledged to protect and defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
The oath-taking ceremony has been attended by Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić, representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, local government bodies and religious communities, as well as relatives and friends of the young men and women who have joined the ranks of defenders of the homeland today.
The youngest soldiers are now expected to continue intensive basic training and, subsequently, to be trained for the duties for which they were recruited and active inclusion in the life and work of units of the Serbian Armed Forces, until the end of their military service.
