Day of 204th Air Force Brigade

At the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović Military Airfield in Batajnica, Day of the 204th Air Force Brigade — 02 December and 75 years since the founding of the 204th Fighter Air Force Regiment, which has the longest tradition of all the units that are part of today’s brigade — has been solemnly celebrated.
On the occasion of the holiday, a ceremonial parade was held, last year’s achievements outlined, awards presented to the most successful individuals and wreaths laid to honor the fallen and deceased members of the unit. The guests also had the opportunity to watch the film “75 Years of the 204th Air Force Brigade”.
While referring to the results of the year behind, it has been pointed out that the skills and combat readiness of the Brigade for control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia were sustained and improved, and that the unit successfully carried out many other tasks, from transportation and airlift, training pilots of the Serbian Armed Forces and educating Military Academy cadets to helping citizens when needed.
The ceremony was attended by Air Force and Air Defence Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, commanders of the Air Force and Air Defence units, retired commanders, representatives of SAF units, local government and Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as numerous guests and friends of the 204th Air Force Brigade.
