Meeting with KFOR Commander
Thursday, 11.1.2024 | International Co-operation
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, received today the KFOR Commander, Major General Ozkan Ulutas, and discussed the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija with him.
The meeting also discussed the execution of joint activities of the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR, which are undertaken to monitor the situation on the ground and prevent crises and the spread of disinformation.
Emphasizing that the Serbian Armed Forces fully comply with the Military-Technical Agreement, General Mojsilović pointed out once again that KFOR is the sole legitimate armed formation in Kosovo and Metohija, since UNSC Resolution 1244 and the Military-Technical Agreement are not recognized by other parties except the international civil and security presence in the Province and the security forces of the Republic of Serbia.
In this sense, he expressed the expectation that KFOR will fully and impartially implement its mandate, respond in a timely manner to any attempt to threaten the safety of citizens, primarily Serbs, and protect Serbian national, cultural, historical and religious heritage in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
General Ulutas is in Belgrade at the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, and such high-level meetings, which are held regularly, are an important prerequisite for effective cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR in improving the security situation on the ground and the safety of the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija.
