This week, a delegation of the United States European Command is paying an official visit to SAF Air Force and Air Defense to exchange experience in the field of helicopter operations.
During the visit, key issues relevant to the safe and efficient execution of Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) and opportunities for further cooperation between Serbian Air Force and U.S. Air Force in this area are discussed.
The talks are held at the Military Airfield “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” in Niš, focusing on the exchange of experience in applying operational procedures while planning and executing helicopter CSAR operations and the use of modern devices and equipment that enable the search, location and evacuation of members of armed forces and civilians, from the surrounding areas and inaccessible ground in all weather and terrain.
Part of today's activities by members of Serbian Air Force and U.S. Air Force were attended by Acting Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources Siniša Radović and U.S. Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill.
Expert talks in the field of Search and Rescue are part of a wider cooperation between Serbian Air Force and U.S. Air Force aiming to exchange experience, improve flight safety and strengthen overall capabilities to conduct aerial operations.
