Friday, 1.12.2023 | Stories from Units
A new class of soldiers has been admitted for voluntary military service to the Serbian Armed Forces’ units in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac today.
Having arrived at the barracks, the soldiers passed mandatory examinations, were assigned weapons and equipment and then posted to the units, where commanders informed them of their rights, obligations and tasks during military service.
In the next month and a half, they will be trained at basic training centers to handle personal weapons, undertake basic tactical actions and procedures in battle, perform guard duties and improve their physical fitness.
This is followed by individual specialist training for branch-specific military duties, then collective training in the Serbian Armed Forces’ units during the second period of their military service.
Soldiers can apply for professional military career while still on their military service, after which they will go through the set procedure and meet the requirements to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces immediately after completing their military service.
