Training of SAF CBRN Service Members

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces underwent live-agent specialist training at the CBRN Training Center in Kruševac.
Training was carried out in specialized laboratories and at the training ground “Ravnjak” with the aim of improving the 246th CBRN Battalion’s specialists’ knowledge about live agents, occupational safety measures and providing them with practical training for working with these toxic substances.
The training program, carried out by the CBRN Training Center’s certified instructors, included contents ranging from the CBRN Service patrols’ reconnaissance of contaminated land and facilities, detection and chemical decontamination of weapons and equipment, to providing medical assistance in case of contact with live agents.
This kind of specialist training improves both individual skills of the 246th CBRN Battalion’s members and the overall unit’s ability to undertake special CBRN security measures in support of the Serbian Armed Forces on operations.
