Thursday, 21.7.2022 | Training
Flight training on Mi-35 helicopters was carried out in night conditions at the military airport "Morava" in Lađevci and in the wider area of Kraljevo.
This is regular combat training that is carried out with the aim of maintaining and raising the level of training of the flight crew of the 714th anti-armour helicopter squadron of the 98th Air Force brigade to perform tasks at night and in conditions of reduced visibility.
Training flights in these conditions represent a specific and very demanding form of training for pilots, during which techniques and procedures are practiced during take-off and landing on unlit terrain, flying at low altitudes using modern navigation devices, as well as searching the terrain and selecting a target for action using state of the art observation-aiming systems and night vision equipment.
The technical staff of the brigade is actively involved in the training, which is in charge of the technical validity of the helicopter and has a key role in preparing the aircraft for flight.
Mi-35 helicopters are intended for combat operations against targets on the ground as part of aerial fire support of the Army forces. They can also act against targets in the airspace, reconnaissance and patrol tasks, transport personnel and cargo, as well as land teams.
