Gun Salutes on the Occasion of Statehood Day

Today, by order of Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, on the occasion of marking 15 February - Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, members of the SAF Guard have fired gun salutes from the Sava Plateau in Kalemegdan.
The salute was given in the form of 10 volleys fired from 6 artillery weapons and was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović.
Serbia marks the Statehood Day on 15 February commemorating the day of the outbreak of the First Serbian Uprising led by Vožd Karađorđe in 1804, and the day when the first modern constitution of Serbia known as “Sretenje” Constitution was adopted in 1835.
