Tuesday, 21.6.2022 | Training
At "Morava" Military Airfield in Lađevci, on the outskirts of Kraljevo, the 98th Air Force Brigade helicopter units are currently receiving their routine flight training.
This is a training practice on Mi-35 and Gama helicopters aimed at maintaining and raising the level of pilots’ competences for executing flight missions and combat use of helicopters in all conditions.
In line with the training program, during low-altitude training flights, pilots practice how to perform patrol and reconnaissance tasks, as well as landing on and take-off from unsecured terrain. Then, a more complex flight and combat training is to be executed including live firing against ground targets, examining practically the flight crew’s competences for providing fire support to Army units.
Combat helicopters Mi-35 and "Gama" are primarily used for engaging ground targets while providing air support to the forces during SAF operations.
