Reconstruction of the Road on Golija with Members of the Russian Federation Armed Forces

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will carry out works on the reconstruction of the road on Golija Mountain, in the municipality of Ivanjica, for the next fifteen days, within the project "Humanitarian Assistance".
It is a joint project of engineering units of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which is conducted for the first time this year and in which the 210th Engineering Battalion of the Second Army Brigade will be engaged on our part.
In the first phase of the project "Humanitarian Assistance", training of engineers from the Russian Federation on engineering machines and motor vehicles used in the Serbian Armed Forces is conducted, followed by the reconstruction of the road on Golija Mountain. The 13-kilometer-long section will be reconstructed, village Dajići – Srednja reka – Sastavci, damaged during last year's floods, when the Serbian Armed Forces were among the first to go out in the field and provide assistance to local governments affected by the floods.
With the realization of this project, in addition to deepening the bilateral military cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation, the Serbian Armed Forces is helping the local community to create conditions for the uninterrupted life and work of the inhabitants of this area.
