Taking the Oath of Enlistment for Military Service

A ceremony was held today in the barracks "Vojvoda Živojin Mišić" in Valjevo, on the occasion of taking the oath of enlistment of soldiers for voluntary military service of the generation "June 2021". Today, 220 young men and 40 girls from the basic training centers of the Serbian Armed Forces committed themselves to loyalty to the homeland in front of the flag of the Republic of Serbia.
Taking the oath ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, PhD Nebojša Stefanović, Commander of the Training Command, Brigadier General Željko Petrović, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, local governments and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Congratulating the soldiers on the oath taken, Minister Stefanović expressed his satisfaction with the strength and sharpness of their formation and pointed out that he was especially honored to attend this solemn act.
After taking the oath, the soldiers will have individual and collective training and active involvement in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces units. After completing their military service, many of them will, as experience shows, join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
