Routine flight training with attack helicopters which are part of the 98th Air Force Brigade’s armaments is currently taking place on the outskirts of Kraljevo and at Military Airfield "Morava" in Lađevci.
Such training is conducted using Mi-35 and "Gama" helicopters and is part of the scheduled training activities executed throughout the year with the aim of maintaining and raising the level of flight crews’ competences for accomplishing intended missions and using the helicopters in combat.
In this period, the focus is kept on executing group training flights in low zones, in favorable and complex weather conditions, as well as practicing the take-off from and landing on rough and unmarked terrain. Then, the pilots are to undergo combat training, one of its major segments being the execution of live firing at ground targets.
The attack helicopters Mi-35 and "Gama" are part of the 714th Anti-Armour Helicopter Squadron’s armaments and are intended for providing air support to Army forces while conducting defensive and offensive operations.
