Expert Meeting on Military Personnel Safety in Road Traffic

An expert meeting "Safety of military personnel in road traffic" was held today in the "Topčider" barracks in Belgrade, organized by the Logistics Directorate of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.
At this year's meeting, 30 professional papers were presented related to the management of the safety system of military personnel in road traffic, road traffic safety factors, education and training of personnel and transport of dangerous goods. In addition to the papers of members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, the papers of representatives of the Republic Road Traffic Safety Agency and the Road Traffic Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior were also presented.
Professional meetings on the safety of military personnel in road traffic are held every five years, and significant professional support is provided by the Faculty of Transportation, Belgrade University, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad University and the Military Academy.
In addition to reviewing the safety of military personnel in road traffic over a five-year period, the meetings are an opportunity to consider the challenges faced by drivers of military motor vehicles and determine guidelines for further preventive action based on scientific principles and from a professional point of view.
