New SAF Contingent in MINUSCA

A new contingent of the Serbian Armed Forces in the UN peacekeeping operation in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was sent to the area of operation in the mentioned African country last week.
The contingent includes a level 2+ military hospital, which is in charge of the healthcare of more than seven thousand UN personnel in the mission. For the following six months, our medical personnel will provide the first and second line of healthcare, urgent surgical and other intervention, basic dental care, as well as casualty evacuation.
The UN peacekeeping operation MINUSCA was established by the UN Security Council Resolution of April 10, 2014, and the Serbian Armed Forces sent the first contingent to this mission in December 2014.
