Tuesday, 1.3.2022 | Training
In the units of the 126th Air Surveillance, Early Warning and Guidance Brigade, regular training of officers is underway to guide combat aviation for fighting purposes and provide navigation assistance to aircraft in emergency situations.
The training is attended by officers on duty as officers for guiding in the ASEWG companies, with the aim of maintaining training and acquiring new knowledge in air communication and airspace control.
This segment of training is conducted together with flight training of fighter aviation crews for fighting and interception operations and requires a high level of coordination between guidance officers and pilots, training of combat shifts in ASEWG units and complete technical validity and adjustment of radar-computer and telecommunication means.
The focus is on practicing the procedures applied when intercepting targets in the airspace, in order to quickly and efficiently bring the interceptor aircraft to the most favorable possible position.
This training is of vital importance since its implementation improves the cooperation, interaction and overall capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence units for the control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
