Training for Light Vessel Frogmen

At the anchorage of ships in the Novi Sad barracks "Aleksandar Berić" and the pools of the Sports and Business Center "Vojvodina", training of light vessel frogmen of the Serbian Armed Forces is underway, which is being organized by the River Flotilla.
The two-month training is conducted by instructors from the River Flotilla diving company, and the participants are candidates from the Serbian Armed Forces units who have passed rigorous psychophysical checks and assessments.
Although they have met all the criteria for attending the training, candidates must also meet high standards on daily basis and successfully master the complex content of training, which, in addition to physical fitness, requires great mental strength and stability. Diving on isobaths, underwater orientation and diving exercises are only part of the content provided by the diving training program.
In the last week, which is in many ways the most demanding, candidates go through the most complex part of the professional specialist training, and then take an exam for a light vessel frogman. Those, who during the exam demonstrate that they have successfully mastered all the planned contents, acquire a title of a light vessel frogman and the right to wear a diving badge.
