Last week, there was a regular rotation of the Serbian Armed Forces’ contingents engaged in the EUTM-RCA in the Moana camp in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic.
Since its arrival in the Area of Operation in April 2024, our previous contingent, consisting of a staff officer as
Head of the Medical Service at the Mission HQ and a six-member medical team, performed successfully all tasks defined by the mission HQ and showed professionalism and skills of the SAF medical service members in the best possible way.
In the next six months, a new Serbian Armed Forces’ team will continue to perform the assigned tasks in accordance with the mission’s mandate, as medical support of training and providing primary health care to international forces deployed in this mission.
The Serbian Armed Forces began to participate in the EU military operation in the Central African Republic in 2016, and, so far, more than 160 doctors and medical technicians have been deployed in this African country in the roles at the Mission HQ and as part of the medical team.
