By your brave efforts this winter in Vojvodina, the construction of an alternative water supply for Uzice in record time, and swift action in flooded areas, which continues today, you show outstanding qualifications and commitment to services, to the citizens and the state, performing flawlessly your mission in peacetime.

By your showed professionalism you fill with pride the citizens of our country who, proverbially, and with good reason, have great confidence in their armed forces.

You are the keepers of the heroic victories in the Balkan wars, famous feats of their forefathers in the Great War, libertarian victory in the Second World War. You inherited the winning glory of the past to which, in our times, you add contemporary knowledge, modern equipment, the ongoing reforms necessary to keep abreast of the times and the world developments. These two components – a proud tradition and modern professionalism, makes you an army that enjoys the reputation in the international community as well.

I extend my congratulations on the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day to all citizens of our country with a wish that the members of our armed forces remain a reliable support to security and stability, valued part of the team of international forces to keep awake for the safety of our citizens and, as always, provide a steady contribution to the Republic of Serbia on its path of modernization, prosperity and a better and secure future.
