Today, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has met with KFOR Commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş.
The discussion at the meeting covered the current security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the cooperation so far and the effects of activities undertaken to monitor the situation on the ground and prevent further deterioration of the security situation in the Province.
In the conversation, mutual commitment to preserving peace and stability was expressed and the importance of contacts at all levels between the Serbian Armed Forces and international forces in Kosovo and Metohija for successful preventive action was pointed out.
Emphasizing that the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija is unstable and sensitive and that Priština’s unilateral provocative acts represent a threat to security, the Chief of the General Staff has once again requested from the KFOR Commander that international forces in the Province act professionally and impartially and prevent any attempt at threatening the Serbian population in a timely manner.
General Ulutaş has visited Kopaonik at the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff; the goal of such meetings, held regularly at a high level, is to improve mutual understanding and cooperation on the common task of creating a safe and secure environment.
