Tactical Exercise of T-72M Tank Battalion

A tactical exercise of the T-72M Tank Battalion has been carried out at the training grounds in the vicinity of Niš, checking the level of competence of the tank crews to carry out combat actions during offensive operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
In accordance with the exercise scenario, the professional staff of the unit undertook actions and procedures upon receiving the alert signal, took up the waiting area and made preparations for reaching the line as directed by the superior command, while the command controlled and evaluated the unit's operational capabilities elements and skills needed to perform the tasks within the first mission of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Conducting the tactical exercise led to the improvement of capabilities to command and execute combat missions, as well as the evaluation of readiness to act on the alarm signal and unit’s ability to fulfill the tasks in the combat operations of the Army.
The T-72M Tank Battalion, whose main asset is the T-72MS tank, is an evolution unit of the Army with high firepower, intended for armored and anti-armor warfare, fast and powerful breakthroughs; it can carry out operations independently and in interoperability with other units of the Army, Air Force and Air Defense.
