Tactical Training of Serbian Armed Forces Reconnaissance Units in Winter Conditions

Over the past few days, members of the Army reconnaissance units have been undergoing tactical winter training at the training area in the snow-covered mountains.
It is part of regular training activities of the reconnaissance units intended to maintain high competence of the professional staff in providing intelligence security during operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The multi-day activities in the mountainous terrain included practicing the tactics and procedures when organizing reconnaissance patrols, raids and ambushes, and collecting intelligence data on the enemy and situation on the ground, using modern observation assets that the SAF reconnaissance units are equipped with.
Different situations and settings where they fulfill their tasks require skillfulness and creativity; apart from using the standard assets, the recce units also trained to use resources in the field needed for putting up facilities and outdoor nutrition. They also did conditioning in alpine skiing.
The combat capabilities of the SAF reconnaissance units have been significantly improved in the recent period. In addition to their intensive training, the process of equipping them with the best weapons and military equipment continues so that they can perform successfully their tasks on the modern theatre of operation and provide the Serbian Armed Forces with reliable intelligence in a timely manner.
