Serbian Armed Forces Assisting in Road Reconstruction in Kuršumlija Municipality

The 3rd Army Brigade’s engineering task force is involved in the reconstruction of the 5 km road connecting the villages of Dobri Do and Crvenika in the vicinity of Kuršumlija.
The works are part of a CIMIC project intended to provide help and facilitate the everyday life of residents of these villages; to a large extent, these road reconstruction works aim to improve the skills and proficiency of officers and soldiers of the engineering specialty.
Commander of the engineering task force, Staff Sergeant 1st Class Boban Milosavljević, especially emphasizes the modern mechanization used during the works and commitment of the 3rd Brigade members, thanks to which the set goals and tasks are accomplished.
— The main purpose of this road repair was to provide better living conditions for local population - said Commander Milosavljević, adding that the work had begun on 23 September, the final deadline for completing it being 11 October, and involving members of the 310th Engineering Battalion and 37th Mechanized Battalion from the 3rd Army Brigade.
In the recent period, the engineering task force has also been engaged in clearing the riverbeds of the Toplica and Kosanica in Toplica district.
Being involved in such projects is an opportunity for members of the SAF engineering units to put into action their skills and improve additionally their ability to handle modern engineering machines used for road construction, overcoming obstacles, blocking and camouflage.
The Serbian Armed Forces implement CIMIC projects in all parts of the country, with the aim of strengthening confidence and understanding with local communities and making possible for a better life of the people and protection of material goods, showing that they are always there for the citizens, not only when it comes to defending the country, but also when it is necessary to help the most vulnerable.
