On the first day of 2019, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by Lt. General Milan Mojsilović, SAF Chief of General Staff, visited the Defence System Operational Centre, where he assured himself that the SAF executes the planned tasks.
On the first day of 2019, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, visited the Defence System Operational Centre, where he assured himself that the Serbian Armed Forces executes the planned tasks.
After meeting with the commanding officers in the Operational Centre, the Minister of Defence received reports through a video link from the operations centres of the Army, the AF&AD and the Training Command, which reported on the situation in their units.
Senior national representatives from peacekeeping missions in Lebanon and the Central African Republic have also sent reports, informing the defence minister that the situation is regular, that the personnel fulfils all the defined tasks and that all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces who are engaged in these peacekeeping missions are safe.
On that occasion, Minister Vulin and General Mojsilović wished members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence a happy new year, with the wish for good health, family happiness, personal wellbeing and a successful year ahead of us, stressing that the safety of all our members is the highest priority.
Minister Vulin and General Mojsilović visited the quick reaction alert fighter units engaged in the air defence system at the Batajnica airport last night and celebrated with them the New Year 2019.
