The T-72M Tank Battalion members are currently going through an intensive cycle of training in undertaking armored and anti-armor actions on the Army operations at the training and exercise areas of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The training activity is carried out in order to sustain and improve the skills of tank crews in destroying enemy armored vehicles, manpower and other combat assets, while applying tactical principles behind the use of armored units in the conditions typical of a modern battlefield.

The training process includes firing from the tank weapons and practicing primarily combat actions in enemy contact, while integrating fire and tactical procedures of all crew members. A great deal of attention is also paid to training in maintaining and using properly all tank subsystems.

The unit members are about to face a number of firing activities and tactical exercises in order to improve further their ability to make maximum use of the T-72MS tanks’ potential, which, thanks to high mobility, firepower and armor protection, can carry out rapid, high-risk, abrupt and forceful combat actions in different terrain, weather and combat conditions.

Intense execution of a wide range of exercise activities and practical training in the unit provides the tank battalion with high combat readiness to accomplish assigned missions and tasks, both independently and in interoperability with other Serbian Armed Forces’ units.
