Meeting with Commander of JFC Naples

Today, in Belgrade, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has spoken with Commander of JFC Naples Admiral Stuart B. Munsch serving concurrently as Commander of US Naval Forces Europe — Africa.
The discussion at the meeting covered the current security situation in the region and world, primarily in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the results of cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and JFC Naples and options for its further improvement, primarily in the field of training, education and joint exercises.
It has been assessed in the conversation that this cooperation is professional, constructive, that it contributes to peace and stability in the region, and that the Serbian Armed Forces are a credible and reliable partner. The willingness of both sides to continue cooperation in all areas of common interest has been expressed, with the remark that the established mechanisms allow for that.
Speaking about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the Chief of the General Staff has pointed out that the biggest threat to security is the unilateral moves by the provisional institutions of self-government in Priština, aimed at threatening the security of Serbian people; he has also stressed that, in accordance with Resolution 1244 and Military-Technical Agreement, the Republic of Serbia considers KFOR as the only legitimate armed formation in Kosovo and Metohija.
Admiral Munsch, who is staying in our country to attend the NATO MLO Belgrade Chief’s Change of Command Ceremony, has been received today by Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić.
