Visit to Serbian Armed Forces’ Units in Požarevac and Smederevska Palanka

Today, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković has visited some of the units of the Training Command and 608th Logistics Base in Požarevac and Smederevska Palanka.
At the General Pavle Jurišić Šturm Barracks in Požarevac, he gained insight into the state of affairs and capabilities of the Army Training Center and attended the training of soldiers on military service and additional training of professional soldiers. Then he visited the study rooms, modern teaching equipment and trainers for specialist training of all categories of permanent and reserve component of the SAF for the branches such as infantry, artillery, armored units and engineering.
General Janković then visited a 608th Logistics Base unit in Smederevska Palanka. On that occasion, he was shown facilities for storing and maintaining weapons and military equipment kept at this location for the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units.
During today’s inspection, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff spoke with soldiers and officers and received reports from commanders on the degree of execution of important tasks. He expressed his satisfaction with the current state, competence of the Serbian Armed Forces’ members and their attitude towards tasks and obligations.
