Salvo on the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day
On the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day, 23 April, salvo with 10 volleys from six pieces of artillery has been fired today from the Sava terrace at Kalemegdan. Salvo, which was fired by Honour Guard Battalion of the Serbian Armed Forces, was attended by Lieutenant General Jovica Draganic, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Milomir Todorovic, Guard Commander, and many citizens who greeted the guards with applause.

Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces marked again this year the Serbian Armed Forces Day with a number of activities. The central ceremony was held in Uzice on 16th April.
This day was established to commemorate Palm Sunday in 1815, when Milos Obrenovic led the Second Serbian Uprising in Takovo.
