The audience had the opportunity to see all the aircraft from the composition of the aviation brigade and a display the operational capabilities of the crew involved in the flight program.
- The activity started with a 10-minute performance "Gazela" helicopters, after which a pair of "Orao” air crafts presented a combat operation from a low scheme. Visitors were then able to see the flight of "Gamma" helicopters with the program ending with the performance of Colonel Dejan Vasiljevic whoe flew "Orao" two-seater - as pointed out by Alexander Bjelic, commander of the 98th Aviation Brigade, noting that the goal of the event was to promote aviation, invite pilots, aviation technicians and display capabilities and air power of the Serbian Army.
He said that a special part of the program was promotional flight of helicopter. In the course of the past few weeks, 15 children have been selected in the local media, and they were now rewarded with a flight which for them represented a great pleasure.
At the apron, members of the Second Brigade of the Army presented equipment and technology available to the 2nd brigade, which along with aircrafts attracted the attention of the youngest.
- Flights and acrobatic stunts of planes and helicopters were great. I can not single out anything because I was equally impressed with everything - says Mile Antonijevic from Kraljevo who came to the Open Day campaign with his wife and little daughter. Little Anja had no doubts - Planes were my favorite thing I can not wait to come again next year. This was her mother Jovana’s first visit to such an event, and she says she is glad she did not miss it.
- The impressions are great, especially for children. I served the army, have never before seen a plane. This is the real thing, this is how we promote Air Force and the Army - says pensioner Zoran Rakic, from Kraljevo, who was on the "Open Day" was last year.
The event at Ladjevci was visited by the Tomasevic family from a village only 1.5 km away from the airfield.
-The whole family has com. Grandmother, grandfather, daughter and grandchildren. We also have a small future general, who just turned 20 months, or so I hoped he would be, the way he was delighted with planes we are sure he will be a pilot when he grows up – as both Slavica and Radoja, proud grandparents and little Ilija exclaimed together.
Mladen Stevanovic and his son Veljko from the vicinity of the Kraljevi, also enjoyed the program, and seven-year old Veljko who is just finishing his first grade is certain he wants to be a pilot.
-I liked the airplanes very much. The helicopters were great too, but the planes are faster and can fly high - said Veljko.
Besides many people with their families, there were a lot of young people, and today at Ladjevci they may have opted for their future careers.
- This year the program was based on the flying skills of our pilots and that is why I liked today's "Open Day" more. The performance of the pilots was superb - says Dejan Neskovic, who came to the event with his friends. They unanimously exclaimed-Never better
Mihajlo Milicevic, the son of a pilot at Ladjevci, and after today's performance is even more certain he would follow in his father’s footsteps.
- Superbly presented aerospace power capabilities of our pilots and experts. I enjoyed every aspect of the program - said Michael.
Miroljub Jovanovic from Kraljevo shared Mihajlo’s enthusiasm, but the only complaint was the lack of "MIG".
- I am a regular visitor of aircraft performance, and since I am from the area Ladjevci, this was another opportunity to enjoy the power of our Air Force and the Army.
