Flight Training in the Fighter Aviation Squadron

At the military airport "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" in Batajnica and in the wider area of Belgrade, members of the fighter aviation squadron from the composition of 204th Air Force Brigade are undergoing regular flight training on MiG-29 aircraft.

The training is carried out with the aim of improving the skills of flight crews and  technical staff for performing airspace control and protection tasks in order to maintain a high level of combat readiness of the unit.

In accordance with the training program, pilots in this period practice tactical procedures and procedures for intercepting targets in the air at different heights in favorable and complex meteorological conditions, day and night.

Flight activities are carried out in coordination with fighter aviation guidance officers from the 126th Air Surveillance, Early Warning and Guidance Brigade. In this way, optimal capabilities of all elements in the permanently deployed forces for airspace control and protection are achieved.

The technical staff of the squadron are actively involved in the training, whose expertise is key to maintaining the aircraft and their availability for flying.

Members of the fighter aviation squadron, which is stationed at the military airport in Batajnica, are engaged 24 hours a day, seven days a week and they are ready, in cooperation with other forces of the Serbian Armed Forces, to timely respond to any threat and protect the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
