Tuesday, 7.9.2021 | Training
In the coming days, members of the Air Force and Air Defence of the Serbian Armed Forces, together with members of the Bulgarian Army, will engage targets in the air at the "Shabla" firing range on the Black Sea coast.
Combat crews from the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade and members of the 204th Air Force Brigade are already in Bulgaria making final preparations for the firing. At the "Shabla" range, members of the missile units are practicing procedures for the preparation and execution of firing, checking the equipment and preparing the missiles, while the pilots and technical staff, in the base "Graf Ignatievo" near Plovdiv, conduct the final preparations on aircraft for the upcoming engaging targets.
Personnel of the 250th Missile Brigade will engage targets in the air from the "Neva" and "Kub" missile systems, while members of the 204th Air Force Brigade will engage targets with air-to-air missiles from MiG-29 aircraft.
Conducting the live firing aims to improve the overall capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence units for protecting the airspace and to prepare individuals and combat crews for the most difficult and complex tasks. It is also an opportunity to test the results of intensive training and training and control-training firing conducted on ranges and training areas in our country.
