Training of Army Reconnaissance Units in Winter Conditions

Members of the Army reconnaissance units have implemented various contents of tactical training in winter conditions on Kopaonik over the last few days.
This training is part of regular training activities of reconnaissance units, which is carried out in order to sustain a high level of competence of serving personnel in providing intelligence security on operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
While training in mountainous terrain covered with snow, the reconnaissance units practiced tactical actions and procedures when organizing scout patrols, raids and ambushes, as well as collecting intelligence data on the enemy and situation on the ground, with the use of modern observation means the reconnaissance units of the Serbian Armed Forces are equipped with.
In addition to tactical training, they also underwent training in alpine skiing, since knowledge of skiing techniques is necessary to accomplish efficiently reconnaissance tasks in a winter environment.
Continuous training in different tactical conditions, weather and terrain is crucial for preserving and improving the ability of reconnaissance units to perform all intended tasks and provide reliable and verified intelligence data of immeasurable importance for the success of operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
