The Christmas Futsal Tournament

The 4th Traditional Christmas Futsal Tournament of the Serbian Armed Forces, organized by the Army Command, was held today at the Šivara Sports Centre in Niš.
In the presence of the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Petar Cvetković, the Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović officially declared the tournament open.
Sporting spirit and fair play characterized the four teams that participated in this year’s tournament. In addition to the team of the General Staff, the teams of the Army, the Air Force and Air Defence and the Training Command competed in the tournament.
The winner of this year’s tournament is the team of the Army. The team of the Training Command took second place and the team of the SAF General Staff won third place.
General Simović presented cups to the first three teams, and diplomas to the fourth team and the best individuals. Colonel Nikola Dejanović of the Training Command was named the tournament’s best player, Lt. Colonel Željko Kuridža of the Army was the best goalkeeper while the top scorer was Colonel Dejan Golubović of the SAF General Staff.
