Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović met with the United Kingdom's special defense envoy for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
At the meeting, which was also attended by Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Serbia His Excellency Edward Ferguson, opinions and positions were exchanged on the current security situation in the region and the world, with the focus on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
General Mojsilović has particularly pointed out that the Serbian Armed Forces consistently adhere to the Military-Technical Agreement and that, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and all signed agreements, they recognize KFOR as the only guarantor of security of Serbian population and protection of our national, cultural, historical and religious heritage in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
In this sense, he expressed expectation that the international security forces in the Province will fully and impartially implement their mandate and react to any attempt at threatening citizen safety.
During his stay in Serbia, Lord Stuart Peach was received by Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, and he also had separate meetings with Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić.
