Wednesday, 6.2.2019 | Multinational Operations
Serbian Armed Forces have deployed a medical team to an EU mission in Mali, where, for the next six months, it will provide medical support for personnel of the EU mission in that African country.
The three-member team of the Serbian Armed Forces, led by doctor Captain Obrad Đurić, will take part in the European Union Training Mission in Mali (EUTM Mali) within the German contingent.
Before the deployment, the Deputy Commander, Joint Operations Command, Major General Ilija Todorov talked to our peacekeepers and expressed confidence that this team will follow in footsteps of its predecessors, who have been highly regarded for their service in the mission.
Serbian Armed Forces have participated in this mission since December 15, 2014, with a medical team comprising a doctor and two medical technicians.
