In the "Radovan Medić" barracks in Batajnica, an amateur radio-goniometry open competition has been opened today, featuring nine teams.
The traditional Radovan Medić Cup is organized in memory of the dead member of the 224th Electronic Warfare Centre during the NATO bombing.
According to the 224th Centre Commander Colonel Zoran Nenadović, the competition has grown into a tradition "by which we keep a memory of our hero and we respect his great sacrifice".
– From an amateur radio-goniometry, as a specific sport popularly called fox hunting, we have built a serious manifestation. We wish to have a sport spirit during the competition, and the goal of today's competition is first of all getting to know and socializing, and then let the winner be the one who shows the best results, Colonel Nenadović said officially opening the competition.
