A military ceremony has been held at the Guard’s Club, Topčider Barracks, in Belgrade today on the occasion of the Training Command Day, marked in memory of January 15 1883, when the Law on the Organization of the Army was passed defining the principles of recruitment and training of soldiers on military service.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, active and retired members of the Training Command, representatives of the MOD and Serbian Armed Forces’ organizational units, local government bodies and religious communities, and a number of other guests.

While touching on the achieved results, it has been pointed out that, in the year that passed, members of the Training Command successfully implemented all intended tasks thanks to their professional attitude to their roles, high expertise, morale and commitment. This operational component’s contribution to improving individual skills of the Serbian Armed Forces’ members has been underlined, as well as its successful engagement in the tasks related to the second and third mission of the Serbian Armed Forces.

On the occasion of the Training Command Day, an appropriate gathering has been held earlier today, where Commander Major General Zoran Nasković presented decorations and awards to the most remarkable individuals, as well as certificates of appreciation to businesses and institutions with which a successful cooperation has been maintained.
