Thursday, 17.8.2023 | Training
At the “Car Lazar” Barracks and “Ravnjak” Military Complex in Kruševac, training of a unit from the 246th CBRN Battalion declared for participation in multinational operations under the Operational Capabilities Concept is underway.
Members of this Serbian Armed Forces’ unit are undergoing thorough preparations and complex training in order to reach the required level for carrying out tasks in an international environment.
In this period, the focus is on tactical drills for performing collective tasks that could await them in multinational operations, such as radiological-chemical-biological decontamination of land, people, weapons and technical assets, patrolling, establishment of checkpoints, protection of forces and facilities, and treatment and evacuation of the injured.
In the coming period, the declared unit from the 246th CBRN Battalion is expected to conduct a tactical exercise in field conditions at the “Borovac” Training Ground and “South” Base, when a check and assessment of the capability and interoperability of this unit will be carried out.
The Operational Capabilities Concept is one of the cooperation forms under the Partnership for Peace Program through the implementation of which the Serbian Armed Forces meet interoperability standards and develop the operational capabilities of declared units for participation in peacekeeping operations.
