Friday, 30.8.2024 | Training
An assessment of individual specialist skills of soldiers of the June 2024 intake, of the infantry, artillery and engineering branches, has been taking place at the Army Training Center in Požarevac over the past few days.
This check comes after the second phase of the first training period, during which soldiers went through all individual tactical training contents, executed tactical actions on the battlefield, learnt to handle personal and branch-specific weapons, did all scheduled firing and succeeded in meeting the required physical fitness standards.
Master Sergeant Miodrag Mitrović, the Army Training Center’s instructor for infantrymen, has emphasized that the skills assessment comes after the soldiers have been training for six weeks at the Center.
— Today, we have evaluated the soldiers specializing as: operators for the 7.62mm M84 machine guns, M93 30mm automatic grenade launchers, and for the 9K11 anti-tank launchers “Maljutka”. The soldiers have demonstrated great commitment and effort during training, as shown by the very good and excellent results of today’s evaluation - said MSG Mitrović.
Along with infantry soldiers, artillerymen and engineers have put into action tactical tasks and demonstrated a high level of acquired knowledge and skills in working with combat assets and handling military equipment within their specialties.
Soldiers of the June 2024 intake are now supposed to be transferred to the Serbian Armed Forces’ units to attend collective training during the last three months of their military service.
