All the Serbian Armed Forces Capacities Fighting Against the COVID-19 Pandemic

In accordance with the order of the President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander and the decisions of the Crisis Staff, the Serbian Armed Forces will do everything in its power to suppress and prevent the spread of infectious disease COVID-19.
Since the declaration of a state of emergency throughout the territory of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian Armed Forces members have been engaged in numerous tasks of assisting civilian authorities.
In Ćuprija, Valjevo and Kruševac, the Serbian Armed Forces members carry out the disinfection of streets and squares, and in the "Aleksandar Nikolić" Hall in Belgrade, the works for the accommodation of the COVID-19 patients with a mild clinical presentation are almost completed. Previously, temporary accommodation centers were established for this purpose at the Belgrade and Novi Sad Fairs, the Čair Hall and Duško Radović and Mika Antić elementary schools in Niš, and the beds were set up in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in Belgrade.
A hospital was established at the premises of the Military Academy in Belgrade to accommodate patients with mild symptoms, and within the Karaburma Military Medical Center, a military hospital was established for the treatment of patients with medium and severe clinical symptoms.
The Serbian Armed Forces are also engaged in securing and controlling of hospitals where there is a control of the potentially infected individuals and treatment of COVID-19 patients, gerontology centers, temporarily closed border crossings for road traffic and public facilities, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, they conduct enhanced surveillance, entry and exit controls and external security of reception and asylum centers.
