Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in Belgrade Marathon

Traditional Belgrade Marathon, the 27th in row, which brought together runners from all over the world, and before the start, broke the participation record. The record was broken also by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, whose 195 members participated in two competitive races. The runners in the Marathon were Captain Sasa Vojnovic from the Cobras, who won 30th place with the score of 3 hours 12 minutes 37 seconds.

The best result among the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in the half marathon was reached by a professional soldier in the Training Command Mirko Stankovic, who won the 7th place with 1 hour 19 minutes 43 seconds, and cadets of the Military Academy, Jelena Mitrovic, the 40th place among 535 competitors with 1 hour 52 min 53 seconds.
Kenyan athletes won the first three places at the 27th Belgrade Marathon, and won Talam Bernard Kipkorir , while the women's winner was Aiyabei Valary Jemeli.
The first to pass the finish line in the half marathon were Darko Zivanovic, athlete from "Radnicki" of Kragujevac and Olivera Jevtic, the best Serbian long-distance runner who was the best in the marathon race twice during her career.
