Army Soldiers Undergoing Training
Wednesday, 22.1.2025 | Training
The Army Training Center in Požarevac is currently conducting individual specialist training for soldiers who undertook their military service in December last year.
The soldiers have been assigned to the Center after completing basic training, to be able to perform the specialty-related military roles they were recruited for. This Training Command unit provides training for dozens of different infantry, artillery, engineer and armored units’ specialties.
In this training phase, at training grounds and specialized study rooms of the General Pavle Jurišić Šturm Barracks, soldiers are trained to use mortars, artillery systems, tanks, IFVs and mine-explosive ordnance in combat, practicing the defensive/offensive tactics and procedures. In the period to come, they are expected to undergo field training, exercises with mine-explosive ordnance and firing using branch-specific weapons.
The specialist training of this class of soldiers ends with an individual skills assessment in late February, followed by collective training and active involvement in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units until their military service is over.
