Training of Serbian Armed Forces’ Soldiers and NCO Candidates

Participants of the NCO Basic Course and soldiers on military service of the June 2024 intake, training at the Army Training Center for appropriate duties in infantry and MP units of the Serbian Armed Forces, have completed their field training at the “Peskovi” Training Ground this week.

In line with requirements of the duties are preparing for, soldiers and future NCOs implemented tactical and firearms training contents at the range.

During field training, NCO Course participants of the infantry branch, as commanders and deputy squad commanders, together with soldiers, practiced tactics and procedures in battle, and also fired from the 7.62 mm M-84 machine guns. A special challenge for them was a tactical obstacle course where they had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of rapid and proper response while undertaking tactical actions and defensive and offensive fire missions.

Along with them, through a variety of training activities, future NCOs of the MP specialty checked the level of acquired skills in providing anti-terrorist protection and security of areas, directions and military facilities, and in handling modern weapons and equipment the MP units of the SAF are equipped with.

Upon returning from the field, future NCOs of the Serbian Armed Forces continue with their training following the Basic NCO Course curriculum, while in late August, the soldiers undergo an assessment of their abilities to execute tactical tasks and use personal and collective infantry weapons in combat.
